Baton Rouge, LA - The LSU Tigers are eager to get their season going in Death Valley Saturday night against North Texas. The sooner the purple and gold kickoff at 6 p.m. the quicker the Tigers can forget about the disastrous finish to last season.
The team has been waiting for this for quite some time. Keke Mingo, junior defensive end, agreed by saying, "It's finally here, we love to play, especially in that stadium. We finally get to do it, it's been a long time."
Bennie Logan, junior defensive tackle joins in Mingo's enthusiasm with: "It's time for us to just display our talent and show the world where we stand after the last championship game."
Zach Mettenberger, junior quarterback is also chomping at the bit for the start of the season.
"Probably the longest week of my life, just the anticipation of the game. Ecstatic at this opportunity that I have, to be a starter for LSU. A lot of kids dream of being that guy, I finally get the opportunity to go out there and showcase what I can do. Hopefully I can go out there this Saturday and put up some points."
