LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man, convicted in 2007 for failure to register as a sex offender, has been arrested for failing to register again, according to a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say on Monday, the Sheriff Office's Compliance and Awareness Program Unit (CAP) arrested 31-year-old Andrew Moss Jr. He is facing a charge of failure to register as a sex offender, second-offense.
According to authorities, an investigation revealed that Moss moved without notifying authorities within three days, as required by state law.
Moss was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender in 2007. He was convicted of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Calcasieu in November 2004.
Bond for Moss was set at $12,000.
