All SWLA public schools will be back in session on Friday:
ACADIA: Acadia Parish schools will reopen Friday.
ALLEN: Allen Parish schools will reopen Friday.
BEAUREGARD: According to Superintendent Timothy J. Cooley, all Beauregard Parish schools and facilities will resume a normal schedule on Friday.
CALCASIEU: Calcasieu Parish schools will be open on Friday, according to school officials. Also, the REACH meeting that was slated at R.W. Vincent on Thursday will be rescheduled next week.
The Diocese of Lake Charles schools will reopen Friday, school officials have announced.
CAMERON: The Cameron Parish School System will be open on Friday. Grand Lake High School will have classes as usual on Friday. Four-day week schools will return on Tuesday. All schools are closed for Labor Day on Monday, and for Teacher In-Service on Friday, Sept. 7.
JEFF DAVIS: Jeff Davis schools will have school on Friday, according to school officials.
VERNON: Vernon Parish schools will be back in session on Friday.
MCNEESE: McNeese State University will be back in session on Friday.
SOWELA: Sowela Technical Community College in Lake Charles and its Morgan Smith site in Jennings will resume classes and all other operations on Friday, Chancellor Dr. Neil Aspinwall has announced.
LSU: LSU officials say that school will be in session on Friday. At this time, there is no change in the status of Saturday's football game versus North Texas.
LAMAR SALTER: Louisiana Technical Community College Lamar-Salter Campus will be open Friday.
CID Head Start, serving Jeff Davis Parish, will be in session in both the Jennings and Elton centers on Friday.
UNIVERSITIES, COLLEGES and TRADE SCHOOLS:
Southern University Shreveport will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Southern University System campuses affected by Hurricane Isaac include Southern University New Orleans (SUNO), Southern University Baton Rouge (SUBR), Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SU Ag Center), and Southern University Law Center (SULC). Southern University Shreveport (SUSLA) will likely be impacted by tropical storm conditions as Isaac passes through north Louisiana.
Due to conditions caused by Hurricane Isaac, all classes and activities scheduled at SUNO are canceled for Thursday and Friday. SUNO students, faculty, and staff are expected to resume regular activity on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, following the Labor Day Holiday.
The SU Law Center has canceled classes for Thursday and will reopen Friday.
University of Phoenix - Lafayette Campus:
Classes will resume Tuesday evening, Sept. 4.
Students can contact the Hurricane Advisory Line (HAL) at 888-276-9119 and Press 3 for updates on the re-opening or closure status of the campus.
Northwestern State University:
All classes on all Northwestern State University campuses will be canceled through Friday and the university will be closed. Essential personnel will report as usual.
Central Louisiana Technical Community College:
The Central Louisiana Technical Community College-Lamar Salter Campus in Leesville will be closed Thursday due to inclement weather.
Students should check www.cltc.edu website and first call messages for updates regarding if it is safe to re-enter the campus on Friday.

Ready Set Grow Learning Center will be closed Thursday.
First Methodist School Daycare in Lake Charles will be closed Thursday.
Kid's Place Preschool in Moss Bluff will be closed Thursday.
University Methodist Day School (Daycare) in Lake Charles will be closed Thursday.
Ships Ahoy Children's Academy will be closed Thursday.
Precious Treasures Childcare Center will be closed Thursday.
Precious Playhouse Daycare will be closed Thursday.
Glad Tidings Preschool will be close Thursday.
Hayleigh's Child Care Learning and Development Center both locations will remain closed on Thursday.
Building Blocks Preschool and Learning Center in Carlyss will be closed Thursday.
The Methodist Children's Learning Center in DeRidder will be closed Thursday.
