Baton Rouge, LA -

Just like the McNeese State Cowboys, the LSU Tigers are prepping for their season opener at home next Saturday night against the North Texas Mean Green.

The running backs are a big topic of interest for the purple and gold this season.  While Michael Ford and Spencer Ware both shared a majority of the limelight last season, as well as seeing a lot of snaps lately in practice, head coach Les Miles says another guy to look out for is junior running back Alfred Blue, especially now that he's healthy.

"If you think about it, he hadn't been healthy since that 40 yard run against Ole Miss," Miles offered.  "He had a 40 yard run and a hamstring, and really was slow. Now really he's got his burst back and really he knows what to expect, he knows the cuts, he's really performed better."
