All Eyes On LSU's Jr Quarterback

Baton Rouge, LA - When the Tigers open the season September 1,  a week from Saturday, they will be playing against North Texas.  While the game will be testing LSU's 2012 team, all eyes will be on Jr quarterback Zach Mettenberger.

Mettenberger proved himself once again in the final scrimmage of the preseason, completing 26 of 36 for a total of 336 yards.

He says being good at your position is all about mentally staying calm.

"That's the biggest thing a quarterback has gotta have, the mental aspect of it," explained Mettenberger.  "You don't have to be a rocket scientist but you gotta know the defense is going to bring a strong go, if there going to run a sara sam, a two trap over. You just have to be a student of the game and know what every situation, what defense they're going to run."
