LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -
A Calcasieu grand jury decides a man arrested and booked for rape should not be indicted.
The grand jury declined to indict 27 year old William Tibbits Jr. He was arrested in connection with the alleged rape and kidnapping of a 19 year old in Vinton in June.
Grand jury proceedings are secret, so we don't know why they decided not to indict.
Vinton authorities told KPLC in June that the incident was reported on June 28.
