Body of missing boater found

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Lake Charles, LA (KPLC) - Search crews with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries were able to recover the body of 27 year old Christopher Rollins around 7 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to the LDWF, they will continue to investigate the exact cause of the boating incident.

Rollins' family members have been waiting by Lake Charles since early Saturday morning and were devastated by the news, but now have closure.  They did not want to comment on camera.

We are under a heat advisory from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. Overnight, we will have mostly clear skies with temperatures in the upper 70s.
