Don't miss 7 News at Noon!

Good morning everyone!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

The Presidential campaign comes to Louisiana today as Candidate Mitt Romney plans to raise money in Baton Rouge with fellow Republican, Governor Bobby Jindal. Jindal has headlined several rallies for Romney – including one in Nebraska over the weekend. Many believe he's on the short list as a possible Vice Presidential contender.

While we're on the subject of politics, you may be interested in this story about the fate of so-called "Obamacare." You can read it HERE.

Also today, no one wants to contract a virus – they're usually accompanied by aches and pains – but can a virus be good? Scientists are working on taking a virus and re-defining it as a potential cure for cancer.

Plus, we'll have a touching story about how dialing the wrong number ended up saving a woman's life.

As far as the weather is concerned, it's been mostly sunny so far, but Ben says some rain could return by later this afternoon.  What about the rest of our work week?  And what about those temperatures?  If the rain holds off, are we in store for super hot conditions?   Ben is preparing  his local forecast right now, so be sure to tune in at noon.

Remember, we're broadcasting live on kplctv.com and on air each weekday at noon. We hope you join us, and have a wonderful day everyone!
