Following press release from Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office:
Authorities in Acadia Parish are investigating the death of an unknown Hispanic male after a passing motorist discovery his body around 4:50 a.m. on White Oak Hwy north of LA 365 near the Richard community.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, 911 dispatchers received a call from a female that reported the discovery while traveling on the roadway.
Upon arrival deputies discovered a deceased Hispanic male, 25 – 30 years old wrapped in a tarp laying in the middle of the roadway. The victim had no identification on his person and investigators are asking for anyone with information to please contact Det. Chad Gibson at 788-8700.
The victim's body has been turned over to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner's Office to determine cause of death.
