Armed robbery reported at Sulphur Payday Now store

Sulphur Police confirm an armed robbery of the Payday Now store located on 550 N. Citites Services Highway on Saturday.

Police spokesman Mel Estess tells KPLC 7 that the robbery happened at 11:40 a.m. A man walked into the store, presented a handgun and demanded money. He fled the store with an undetermined amount. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Police continue to search for the suspect, described as a black male. No further description was available. KPLC 7 has a crew on the scene. Look for the story later tonight on 7News at Six.
