The Hobo Hotel for Cats has won a prize in a competition among animal shelter and rescue groups.
Lake Charles' Hobo Hotel will receive a $1,000 prize thanks to a website's contest. Petfinder.com placed hobo among 30 rescue groups to receive a grant. The site provides an online database of adoptable pets.
There's another round of voting coming up, which could mean even more money for the shelter. Hobo Hotel supporters can vote once a day on the site. Click here for a link.
