Lifeshare Blood Centers says a steep decline in donations has increased the need for certain blood types.
All types are welcome, though, especially O-negative and B-negative.
Donors have to be at least 16 years old and meet height and weight requirements.
They're holding blood drives all around Southwest Lousiana this week.
Monday they'll be at the Market Basket in Kinder from 11a.m. - 4p.m. And at the DeRidder Walmart, 11a.m. - 4p.m.
