Good evening, here's the latest from the KPLC newsroom..

There are still more questions than answers after a man was shot and killed on North Cherry Street in north Lake Charles this morning. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Shane Landry.

What was it really like when that United Airlines jet hit turbulence and was forced to make an emergency landing in Lake Charles? The student nurse who helped the injured talks about the chaos.

It sounds like one of those things that could only happen in Louisiana. Judges on the Louisiana Supreme Court could be taking each other to court over a power struggle.

    A Sulphur man and his brother have been sentenced to federal prison for illegally trafficking alligator snapping turtles. Travis Leger, of Sulphur, was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison. His half-brother, Jason Leckelt, of Oklahoma, was sentenced to one year and four months in prison and Rickey Simon, of Sulphur, was sentenced to three years probation.
