Good evening, here's the latest from the KPLC newsroom..

There are still more questions than answers after a man was shot and killed on North Cherry Street in north Lake Charles this morning. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Shane Landry.

What was it really like when that United Airlines jet hit turbulence and was forced to make an emergency landing in Lake Charles? The student nurse who helped the injured talks about the chaos.

It sounds like one of those things that could only happen in Louisiana. Judges on the Louisiana Supreme Court could be taking each other to court over a power struggle.

    Clean-up efforts are underway after storms rolled through Southwest Louisiana Wednesday night. Most of the damage was done in Oakdale, where a possible tornado partially tore the roof off a motel and a gas station overhang. Click HERE for more. No injuries were reported. A lot of the damage was around the Old Pelican Highway, where trees and power lines were down. The National Weather Storm is expected to visit Oakdale this afternoon to determine whether the damage is from a torna...
