The following is a press release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:
On June 9,
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino
parking garage in reference to a vehicle burglary.
When deputies
spoke with the victim, he advised two sets of golf clubs, clothing items, an
undetermined amount of cash, and a gaming console with games, was stolen from
the back of his SUV that was parked in the casino parking garage.
During further investigation, video surveillance of
the parking garage captured a man, later identified as Ross L. Stanley, 21, of
Lake Charles, entering the victim's SUV and stealing the golf clubs and other
items.
Deputies
located Stanley at his home in Lake Charles and he confirmed he entered the
victim's SUV and stealing the two sets of golf clubs. He was arrested and
booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary;
and theft over $1,500.
The stolen sets of golf clubs
were recovered and returned to the victim.
Judge
Michael Canaday set his bond at $15,000.
