2 arrests made in Fifth Wheel armed robbery

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) - Two arrests have been made in connection with the armed robbery at the Fifth Wheel Conoco on 500 N. Beglis Pkwy.

According to Sulphur Police, on June 5, two suspects entered the store and demanded money from a store employee. One of the suspects was armed with a two-by-four. The suspects fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

No customers were inside during the time of the robbery and no one was injured.

On June 6 around 3:45 p.m., Sulphur Police arrested one suspect. The second suspect turned himself in around 10:35 p.m. the same day.

Dquacious Freeman, 17, is being held on a $75,000 bond. The 16-year-old juvenile was placed with Juvenile Justice.

Authorities said the suspects committed the robbery a few hours after being observed in the store earlier in the evening.

The investigation continues.
