The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On June 4, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Unit (CAP Unit) arrested sex offender Randall J. Rougeau, 41, of Iowa, after an investigation revealed he failed to renew and update his information on his identification card, along with his driver's license, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Rougeau was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Rougeau was convicted of oral sexual battery in Calcasieu Parish in September 2002.

His bond is still pending.

CPSO Detective Allison Toups is the lead investigator on this case.
