A member of the prominent 50's and 60's group, "Cookie and the Cupcakes" has passed away.
Guitarist Marshall Joseph LeDee was a member of the band, whose most memorable hit song was "Mathilda." Mr. LeDee also served in the U.S. Navy during the Battle of Okinawa in World War II.
Funeral services are scheduled on Saturday, June 9 at 12 p.m. at Fondels Memorial Chapel in Lake Charles. Visitation begins at 8 a.m. Marshall LeDee was 86 years old.
