Tigers Set for NCAA Regionals

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - One year after missing the NCAA tournament, order has been restored at LSU.

The Tigers (43-16) are accustomed not just to making the tournament, but also hosting regionals, which they'll do this weekend.

Joining LSU at the double-elimination Baton Rouge regional are Oregon State (38-18), Sun Belt Conference champion Louisiana-Monroe (31-28) and Atlantic Sun Conference champ Belmont (39-22).

Oregon State opens the regional against Belmont on Friday afternoon, followed by LSU's meeting with ULM on Friday night.

The Tigers will face former teammate Randy Zeigler, a pitcher on LSU's 2009 national title team before transferring.

Oregon State and Belmont players say they're eager to play in front of the packed, raucous crowds for which LSU is known.

If LSU wins, they'll also host a super regional.
