Good morning everyone! Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

The search for a missing UL Lafayette student continues today.  Investigators were back searching in the Whiskey Bay area last night after seeing sonar images about 30 feet offshore from where Mickey Shunick's bicycle was found on Sunday.  Divers went in, but came back with no new information.  You can read more about this case HERE.

Also today, summertime means hot temperatures and many of us like to cool off with something cold and sweet.  However, if you have sensitive teeth, an ice cream treat can put you in a lot of pain.  We'll show you some ways to make that pain go away.

We may actually get a break from those rising temperatures today. Ben says there have already been a few isolated showers across our area this morning, but by this later this afternoon,  expect an increase in rain and storms.  He's fine tuning his forecast right now and will have his full, up-to-the-minute, local forecast in just a bit.   In the meantime, you may be interested in an unusual weather phenomenon. It's an ominous cloud formation and it's quite something to see.  Check it out HERE.

And since it's the last day of the month, it's time once again for our Precious Pets segment.  Are you looking for a new family pet?   Perhaps we'll have one that will be just perfect for you.  Remember you can always upload pictures of your beloved pets on our KPLC Viewernet site which you can find HERE

We hope you join us at noon – either online at kplctv.com or on air.

Look out for those possible storms, and stay safe everyone!
