Join us today for 7 News at Noon!

Good morning everyone! Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom preparing for 7News@Noon

A 15 year old Vernon Parish girl is facing an attempted second degree murder charge today after allegedly shooting her stepfather.  Vernon Parish Sheriff's officials tell us it happened in New Llano.  We'll have more at noon, but you can check out what we know so far HERE

The way we wage war is changing.  We're going to show you how the Air Force is creating robots that can move and talk to one another without any people involved!  It may sound like something out of a movie, but they could make a huge difference on the battlefield.

Also today, we're already feeling that summer heat and as those temperatures rise, so does the risk for heat stroke.  That is especially true for young children left in hot cars. We'll have some important safety info.

Speaking of the heat,  Ben tells me it could get dangerously hot this afternoon.  He says as the humidity increases, we're going to see heat index values in the upper 90's!  Some of us saw some rain this morning, but what about the rest of us?  Ben is putting together the numbers right now and will have his full, up-to-the-minute, local forecast in just a bit.  In the meantime, you can check out local radar and other weather info HERE.

Remember, you can watch us each weekday live at noon at kplctv.com and on air.

Have a great day everyone!
