Lake Arthur Regatta triathlon gets underway

The early bird caught the worm as the Lake Arthur Regatta festival began bright and early Saturday with the first ever Regatta Triathlon.

It took the number one runner 55 minutes to swim 370 yards, bike 12 miles and run 2.5 miles through Lake Arthur before crossing the finish line.

The Miss Regatta Pageant is underway now on the main stage.  Live bands will begin at 11 along with the classic sailboat races along the lakefront.

Headlining this year's festival Saturday night is Nashville recording artist, Keith Anderson. The festival will continue, complete with vendors, food and music on the Lake Arthur waterfront through Sunday.
