The following is a Press Release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has been investigating theft of copper wiring from a home in Moss Bluff that occurred on March 2.  The theft was caught on the homeowner's surveillance camera.  After airing the video on CrimeStoppers, two suspects were identified as Jo Anne Davis, 34 and Cody A. Woodard, 37, both of Lake Charles.

Detectives learned Davis and Woodard entered the victim's property through a wooded area behind his house and stole copper from outside the house.  The value of the copper is estimated to be worth over $3,000.

Both were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on May 21.  They are charged with 3 counts of theft over $500. 

CPSO Detective Sgt. Chris Wilrye is the lead investigator on this case.
