Luke the therapy dog made history earlier this year when he accompanied his owner, Beth Zilbert, into State District Court where she was to testify.
Zilbert made a victim impact statement concerning the deadly accident she was in and the man who pleaded guilty in connection with it.
She says Luke's presence helped her put aside her anxiety so that she had the courage to say what she needed to say.
Now, Luke is headed to court again this time to help a victim in Jennings give an impact statement. A defendant is reportedly pleading guilty to one count of animal cruelty for shooting and killing the victim's prize retriever dog right in front of him and one count of discharging a firearm in city limits.
We'll be in court in Jennings to see how it goes for Luke and the victim he'll be assisting.
