Join us for 7 News at Noon!

Good morning! Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom preparing for 7News@Noon

So you say you do your best to protect your credit card information, but have we got a scam story for you.  Perhaps if you have filled up your gas tank in Baton Rouge recently, your card information may have been skimmed from INSIDE the pump!  Crazy, huh?  Well, believe it when you see it at noon.

They're off and running!   Officers from around Calcasieu Parish are running with the "Flame of Hope" for Special Olympics.  Parish to Parish, the torch will eventually reach the Opening Ceremonies of the Summer Special Olympics which begin May 18th in Hammond.

Also today, if  you're looking to save money, coupon clipping could be the way to go.  These days you don't even need to actually ‘clip' the coupons, since the whole concept has gone digital.  We'll take a look at some of the best money-saving Apps.

Plus, it's graduation time, and while every graduate can be proud of their accomplishments, we'll meet one student whose journey to a high school diploma was full of challenges and determination.

Ben says today should be sunnier than yesterday, with very warm afternoon highs.  In fact, he believes we could reach the 90 degree mark in some areas over the next several days.  He'll have more of what you can expect in his full, up-to-the-minute, local forecast at noon.    If you'd like to know more about the upcoming  hurricane season, come out and join the KPLC team this Saturday at Prien Lake Mall. You can get all the details HERE:

It's a waiting game now.  Did Josh Ledet do enough to secure a place in the American Idol finals?  Tonight we will get that answer, but right now you can re-live last night's performances and more HERE:

Have a great day everyone!
