Deadline set for development proposals for old Harrah's property

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The City of Lake Charles has been given the go ahead to sell the old Harrah's property. The Lake Charles City Council voted to authorize the City to sell the property donated by Pinnacle,  now classified as surplus property, for no less than $4,000,000.

Developers have until 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 29th to submit their sealed bids. The proposals will then be opened at the May 29th agenda meeting at 5:30 p.m. and developers will have a chance to pitch their plan to the City Council.
