Good Evening!

American Idol hopeful Joshua Ledet is back in southwest Louisiana tonight. And he talked to 7 News ahead of his homecoming parade and concert tomorrow.

Governor Jindal is not having his way on the state budget. Republicans in the house snubbed the governor, and added nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in cuts that could hit higher education and health care hard.

What's wrong with Ian? The local 7-year-old has had more than a dozen surgeries and two misdiagnoses, and his parents still don't know what's wrong with him.

Wade Hampton will tell us if we can expect a wet weekend, and Joe Downs has a full plate of high school and college baseball highlights.

    There were 465,676 children missing across the country in 2016, according to the FBI. That was the total number of entries on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCIC). In 2015, there were 460,699.     Through tonight we will see just a few passing clouds and we’ll have mostly clear skies. No rain is expected for the next few days. The winds have now turned back to the south earlier today. This will increase our humidity and temperatures. Overnight, we will struggle to get out of the 70s. Friday will have mostly sunny skies. Winds will be blowing fairly strong around 10 to 15 mph out of the south. We will occasionally get gusts up to 25 mph.
