1.35M bond set for man indicted on sex charges

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

A Sulphur man was indicted Thursday for alleged sexual abuse toward a female family member between 1973 and 1982.

According to CPSO, Carroll Wright, 63, of Sulphur is accused of inappropriately touching and performing sexual acts on a female family member who was 3-years-old at the time.

On March 25, Wright was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with four counts of aggravated rape, one count of forcible rape and one count of molestation of a juvenile.

Wright's total bond is set at $1.35 million.
