Concert and Parade in SWLA if Ledet makes it to Top 3

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

West lake's Joshua Ledet is in the Top 4 on Wednesday's American Idol and on Thursday, May 10 we'll find out if he's in the Top 3, which could mean some exciting events are coming to Southwest Louisiana.

Events such as a parade in Westlake and a concert at Burton Coliseum on Saturday, May 12.

"It's so neat to see someone from Westlake being recognized nationally like this," Megan Hartman, Senior Marketing Manager at the Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau said. She's getting ready for a potentially busy weekend.

Hartman said American Idol contacted the SWLA Convention and Visitors Bureau and the show set a schedule of events for the bureau to plan.

Events involving the show and Ledet, if he makes it to the Top 3 contestants on the show, Josh will come home to SWLA for the weekend to see his fans.

"We're going to have a parade in Westlake at 2:30 on Sampson Street and then it will be followed by a pep rally at the Burton Coliseum that evening at 6 p.m.," Hartman said.

Something fans of Josh can get excited about. Hartman said all the information for the weekend's events will be posted on the SWLA Convention and Visitors Bureau website as the plans become finalized.
