Lafayette police seeking suspect in bank robbery

Lafayette Police are currently searching for a suspect that robbed the Gulf Coast Bank at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Friday, April 13th.

The suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, ordered the employees away from the counter and jumped over.  He fled the scene in possibly a dark blue SUV with an undisclosed amount cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10", 165 lbs, blue jeans, white shirt with multi colored stripes and a tan hat and sunglasses. 

There were no injuries during the incident. The case remains under investigation.
