'American Idol' judges and fans want more Ledet

Judges and fans could not get enough of Westlake native Joshua Ledet, who is safe another week on American Idol.

For 80's week, Ledet covered, If You Don't Know Me By Now, by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes. The tune was later remade by Simply Red.

Ledet and idol contestant Jessica Sanchez also covered Stop Dragging My Heart Around by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks.

"The song he chose is really, really good for him," singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani said.

After Ledet's performance, Jennifer Lopez said, "Ask and ye shall receive. ... We asked for a powerhouse performance, and that's what we got."

Idol judge Randy Jackson added, "It's very rare that I want to stand up from beginning to end, that's how great that song was."

Contestant DeAndre Brackensick was tossed off the show's top eight.
