TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Tyler police are still looking for two men they say robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early this morning, and they are now seeking a third, female suspect.

It happened just after 2:30 at the Speedy's Exxon station at 900 west Front Street.

According to police, surveillance video showed two men rob the store and drop a $100 bill on their way out. Police say after the men left, a woman walked into the store, saw the $100 bill and took it, despite the clerk telling her it belonged to the gas station. Police say they are looking to file theft charges against that woman.

And the store's clerk talked exclusively to KLTV reporter Lauren Callahan about just how that robbery unfolded.

"I was behind the cash register and I looked up and I saw two guys walking towards the door. They were kind of walking weird and fast. And the guy pulled over his hood at the door, put a mask on his face. The guy in the camo jacket, he held the door open so the other guy could run in. And he ran up with the gun and put the gun up to me. And he said, "give me everything." I said, "Don't shoot, just take what you want. You can have the money," says store clerk Jason Bagsby.

Bagsby says he was having a slow night, and he guesses the robbers couldn't have taken more than $300 as they emptied the register.

"The guy that was waiting at the door said, "come on, let's hurry up." And he held open the door for the other guy and both of them ran out and ran towards Glenwood, says Bagsby.

Bagsby has worked at the store off and on for two years. It's the first time he's ever been robbed, and he knows he's lucky that he's ok

He says, "I was just thinking, I know they're fixing to rob me, and when I saw that gun up close to me, I was just saying, "don't shoot me. Don't shoot me."

"I had a customer in the back of the store that they didn't see. I'm glad they didn't see the customer, but I guess everything turned out ok, I guess," says Bagsby.

Bagsby described the suspects as two black males, the first about 5'8", 150 pounds wearing a red bandana and a gray sweater.  The second suspect was described as about 5'8", 180 pounds wearing a brown camo jacket/sweater.  Officers were unable to locate the suspects following the incident.  The scene was processed for evidence and the case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).

For the Oakdale Police Department one of their constant battles isn't necessarily with criminals, but instead with their phones. Their phone lines were down for most of the weekend, and just got back up yesterday, but this isn't the first time they've dealt with this.  The phones are ringing at the Oakdale Police Department now, but this past weekend that wasn’t the case.  “Friday evening our phones went down,” said police chief, Joseph Lockett. ...More >>
