New Orleans, La (AP) - The American Culinary Federation of New Orleans is planning its second annual Best of Chefs of Louisiana awards.
Thirty chefs will provide signature dishes for the event scheduled April 16. They include Leah Chase, Paul Prudhomme, Susan Spicer, Tory McPhail, Tenney Flynn and Phillip Chan.
Best chef nominees include Aaron Burgau of Restaurant Patois, Dominque Madquet of Tamarind by Dominique, Spencereh Miche of Emeril's Delmonico, Joshua Laskay of Emerial's NOLA and Frank Brigtsen of Brigstens.
A silent auction also is scheduled.
Tickets are $75, including food and beverage. Proceeds go to New Orleans-area charities and a scholarship fund.
