Superintendent, Senator and House Speaker attend CPSB meeting

59 Louisiana school teachers and principals gathered for the Calcasieu Parish School Board meeting that was set up 24 hours in advance.

State Superintendent of Education John White, State Senator Ronnie Johnson and Speak of the House Chuck Kleckley were also in attendance.

KPLC cameras were not allowed inside the two hour meeting. The legislators said the closed door session was a productive opportunity for dialogue.

KPLC's Theresa Schmidt will have more information about the meeting on the later editions of 7 News.
