Lafayette burglary suspect arrested

The following is a news release from the Lafayette Police Department:

Lafayette, LA –
On March 30, 2012, at approximately 12:30 am, Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of McDonald Street regarding a burglary in progress.  Officers responding to the scene conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge pickup occupied by two suspects.  The complainant had provided 911 with a description of the suspect's vehicle.  Both suspects were apprehended and stolen merchandise was located in the bed of the truck.  The suspects were able to enter the residence by forcing the front door open. Once inside, the suspects removed merchandise and fled the scene.  The apartment was not occupied at the time of the burglary.

Officers arrested Keldrick Andrus (29) of Lafayette and Brock Thomas (29) of New Iberia and charged both men with Simple Burglary.  The case remains under investigation.
