WESTLAKE, LA (KPLC) - A lot of support in Westlake for American Idol contestant Joshua Ledet, but plenty of the support comes from local businesses as well.
Along Sampson Street the streets are adorned with signs supporting the Idol contestant. Such signs are in front of schools, churches, restaurants, banks and others.
Cable provider CommuniCom General Manager David Walker said he's excited about Ledet's success on the show this far. And as the weekly American Idol viewing parties at the Managan Recreation Center continue, it was only right for Walker and CommuniCon to support Josh.
"We've donated the high definition programming that's coming into the rec center and we've also donated a wireless modem so that folks that view the programming there can vote online in real-time," Walker said.
At the Westlake Iberia Bank office there were signs along the street and windows painted showing their support for Ledet.
At the Managan Rec Center, Athletic Director Shon Landry said the community comes together when supporting Josh on American Idol.
