    Over the last couple of weeks someone has been circulating so-called BP oil claim forms in the Lake Charles area. While man, if not most medical claims associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have been settled, someone is holding meetings around the Lake area trying to get people to sign up. But they're not too forthcoming when it comes to saying who they are or who they represent. SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The identity of a suspect accused of snatching a purse, then leading authorities on a chase through Smith County before wrecking has been released.

He is identified as 33-year-old, Reginald D. Whitmill of Tyler.

Whitmill wrecked on County Road 427, just north on Highway 110, just west of Tyler, bringing the chase to an end.

Deputies say he stole a purse, and a witness started chasing him.

Someone called the Sheriff's department, and that's when they joined the chase.
