    Over the last couple of weeks someone has been circulating so-called BP oil claim forms in the Lake Charles area. While man, if not most medical claims associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have been settled, someone is holding meetings around the Lake area trying to get people to sign up. But they're not too forthcoming when it comes to saying who they are or who they represent. CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A Cherokee County Sheriff patrol car was involved in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning.

According to officials, Lt. Frank Lindsay was driving down US 84 around 7 a.m., when the vehicle hit standing water on the roadway, causing it to hydroplane, spin, and crash into a tree.

Lt. Lindsay suffered from cuts and bruises, and an injury to his hand. Lindsay was taken to Trinity Mother Frances in Jacksonville, and is expected to be released today.

The accident happened about one mile west of Maydell.
