Jasmine Stanley claims innocence and asks for trial

Jasmine Stanley says she's innocent and wants a trial.

Back in 2009 she pleaded no contest in connection with injuries to her infant daughter and has been serving a 30 year sentence. She was expected to have to serve at least twelve years before any possibility of release.

Then,  prosecutors called her a horrible monster, though Stanley insisted she never intentionally hurt her child or did anything wrong.

Attorneys for Stanley ask that she be allowed to take back her no contest plea that she get a trial.

Defense attorneys say they have witness statements and medical records favorable to Stanley. There's a hearing May 7th.
