RV fire in Westlake under investigation

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Westlake firefighters were called out around noon Sunday for a trailer fire at 3140 East Burton Street.

Once on scene they discovered an RV that was fully engulfed. Flames from the RV spread to the neighboring trailer. The trailer received only minor damage but the RV is considered a total loss.

One person was home at the time of the fire but managed to get out unharmed.

The Sulphur Fire Department assisted Westlake. At this time the fire is still under investigation as to what caused the fire to take place in the RV.
