Westlake showing its love for American Idol's Josh Ledet

WESTLAKE, LA (KPLC) -

Support is growing for Westlake's Josh Ledet, who is now among American Idol's top 10. Josh's friends and family are now selling t-shirts so fans can be a billboard for the hometown boy going into this new round of competition.

The shirts are $15-dollars. They have several different prints to choose from available in all sizes.

Even though they grew up with Josh friends said they're a little starstruck, but not surprised he's made it this far.

"It's great to see a hometown person. But family and friends are just so excited for him. I mean it's overwhelming for I know the family and just friends of Josh. To see him on TV is surreal. We see him at church singing but to see him on that stage doing what he loves and being so comfortable doing it - it's just wonderful," said Sharmita Rideau, Ledet family friend.

To get your t-shirt look for the stand on Sampson Street in Westlake across from St. John Bosco Catholic Church.

In this week's edition of "Christian's Cajun Adventures," KPLC's Christian Piekos spent time on a commercial crabbing vessel. Christian was assisted by Roger Kelly, a veteran crabber.

Kelly, who also goes by the nickname "Snoopy," has been catching crab since a very young age. It seems like rudimentary work, but Kelly couldn't be happier with his job.
