Former longtime Lake Charles Symphony conductor passes away

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The former longtime Lake Charles Symphony conductor William Kushner has passed away. Kushner retired from the symphony back in 2007 after more than 30 years of service to the Lake Charles Symphony and helped them with their mission of emphasis on the arts in the Lake Area.

Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles is handling the service. Visitation is on Wednesday at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Burial is at Graceland Cemetery in Lake Charles.

Kushner was 88 years old.
