Bond reduction denied, new date set for Manor trial

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Judge Clayton Davis refused to reduce the bond of Carlos Manor who is accused of murdering Brandon Dicks.

Manor was recently brought to trial for second degree murder but the case resulted in a hung jury and a mistrial was declared.

Manor was set for trial today on a drug distribution charge but that trial date along with his murder trial will be May 21.

In objecting to a bond reduction, prosecutor Jonathan Blake told the court law enforcement has received complaints that members of the defendant's family have threatened the victim's family.

His bond on the murder charge is set at $600,000.
