Lake Charles woman arrested for obtaining CDS by fraud

The following is a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

Lake Charles – On February 16, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Vice detectives arrested Kelli J. English, 35, of 1st Avenue, Lake Charles, who was employed at a local dentist office, for obtaining CDS by fraud since June 2011.
The investigation revealed over the past 8 months, English called out numerous prescriptions for controlled medication to pharmacies under a family member's name without the dentist's authorization.
English was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 5 counts of prohibited acts all schedules.
She was released on a $5,000 bond, set by Judge Wilford Carter.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office's investigation is continuing with more charges possible.
