Krewe of Omega and Krewe of Barkus canceled.

The following is a list of the updates KPLC has received on how the weather has affected Mardi Gras weekend in SWLA...

Krewe of Omega and Krewe of Barkus parade (the dog parade) has been officially canceled.

From the Greater Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association: "Due to severe weather, the Le Festival de Mardi will postpone opening until 4pm. Please join us then for a great lineup of music, games and rides. Krewe of Bonaparte parade rolls at 6:30. The rain will be gone, let's get this party started!"

Christ the King Catholic Church PREP and Altar Server Workshop has been canceled. 

In Lafayette, The Children's Parade has been canceled and the Bonapart parade will run as scheduled.

    The Army Corps of Engineers plans to issue the necessary permits for the Bayou Bridge pipeline, according to a news release from the office of Congressman Clay Higgins. The news release said Colonel Michael Clancy, of the Army Corps of Engineers, announced Thursday that the New Orleans District has concluded its environmental assessment and will issue necessary permits to Bayou Bridge Pipeline, LLC.     Defense attorneys for Kevin Daigle were in state court on Friday asking for his trial to be delayed again and that the judge choose a different place to pick a jury. Daigle also was in court. He's accused of first-degree murder of State Trooper Steven Vincent in 2015.
