WESTWEGO, La. (AP) - Hornets coach Monty Williams says reports
that Eric Gordon doesn't want to play for New Orleans is "way off
Williams says the 23-year-old guard is expected to finish the
season on the court after his recovery from arthroscopic right knee
surgery. The coach says doctors told him Gordon's surgery on
Tuesday morning was a success and that Gordon should be able to
play in about six weeks.
Williams says he lacks the medical expertise to understand why
Gordon was initially instructed to rest more than a month, only to
undergo surgery this week.
The coach says he only knows that Gordon, who was acquired in a
multi-player trade that sent All-Star Chris Paul to the Los Angeles
Clippers, is "dying to get back on the floor."
