Moving day for the Crown Casino Riverboat

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

The Crown riverboat was pulled away from the Isle of Capri in Westlake Tuesday morning.

The riverboat will move to the Leevac Shipyard where it will be stored until it is sold again.

On February 9 the Bossier Casino Venture, LLC announced the closing deal to buy the gambling boat for $15 million to get the license the company needs for the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

The construction on the $197 million casino is expected to start immediately and last for approximately 16 months opening around June 2013.
