    Authorities are urging motorists to avoid I-10 West and East bound at mile marker 25 due to a tanker truck on fire. Fire crews are still working to extinguish flames on an 18-wheel oil tanker. Louisiana
    Louisiana State Police investigated an oil tanker tractor fire on I-10 westbound near mile marker 25 on Sunday afternoon which caused major traffic delays.
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • (1 cup raisins may be added)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 lb. box brown sugar
  • 2 cup oatmeal
  • 12 oz. chocolate or vanilla chips
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups cold roast beef*

Cream margarine, shortening, eggs and vanilla.  Add sugars.  Stir in remaining ingredients until blended.  Drop by ice cream scoop (or 1/4 cup measure) for extra large cookies or drop by level tablespoons full for smaller cookies onto an un greased cookie sheet.  Bake 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.   

*lean ground beef may also be used

You can also use M&Ms or chopped, dried cranberries
