A Eunice woman faces aggravated battery charges after authorities said she stabbed her boyfriend because he took too long to do the yard work.

Liqunita Vallier was arrested after Eunice Police were called to the 1000 block of West Ash Street. The mother of the victim told police her son had been stabbed by Vallier.  Officers said they located the knife they believed was used in the incident.  The victim suffered a cut to his left shoulder.

"The victim stated that Laquinta was angry because he (the boyfriend) took too long to do yard work at another residence," Deputy Chief Varden Guillory told KATC-TV.
