A 3.8 million dollar repaving project is underway along a section of U.S. 90 in Sulphur.
DOTD says the 5 1/2 mile project runs from Huntington St. downtown...east to PPG Drive.
The work is 15 percent complete and is expected to be completed by late May or early June.
The project involves patching of the subsurface, scraping up of old asphalt and the laying of new asphalt.
DOTD says the contractor is making good time.
Traffic around the area can be halted at times, while resurfacing is being conducted.
Motorists are advised to use caution in the construction area.
