Local Walgreens to host weather radio event Thursday

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Join the 7Stormteam this Thursday from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Walgreens location at 2755 Country Club Rd. in Lake Charles.

There you can purchase your Midland weather radios and have them programmed by a member of the 7Stormteam before the spring severe weather season approaches!

Ben, Wade, and Kristian will be there to program them for you from 4:00pm-7:00pm as well as do weather live on location during 7News Live at Five and 7News at Six, so you can even come out and be on television.

The 7Stormteam is planning a weather radio event every Thursday in February with future locations to be announced.

    The Army Corps of Engineers plans to issue the necessary permits for the Bayou Bridge pipeline, according to a news release from the office of Congressman Clay Higgins. The news release said Colonel Michael Clancy, of the Army Corps of Engineers, announced Thursday that the New Orleans District has concluded its environmental assessment and will issue necessary permits to Bayou Bridge Pipeline, LLC.
